Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them:

We are a foundation of women that love our kids and are not afraid to show it. The most difficult battles of all were the ones when we had to say no. I'm glad we won them, and will continue to win them, because in the end, you will win too. And someday when your children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.......

not let you run with scissors...
talk to strangers...
go out with friends we don't know, or go places we have never heard of...
We make our children do their homework, we go to teacher conferences and actually talk to our children's teachers, and we make them eat their vegetables. We do not let our children run wild. When they are misbehaving, we tell them. We know what they are doing, and with whom they are doing it with. We know how much TV they watch, and we know what they are watching.
We are the Mean Moms! We love our children, and we are not ashamed to show it.
